From California Department of Justice

“As of 9:47 p.m. on April 24, 2020, California’s laws regulating the purchase, transfer, and importation of ammunition are in effect. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily stayed the district court’s preliminary injunction order in Rhode v. Becerra (S.D. Cal. 3:18-cv-00802-BEN-JLB). Until further notice, all ammunition purchases and transfers must comply with the law. The DROS Entry System (DES) is operational and processing ammunition eligibility checks. The California Department of Justice, Bureau of Firearms, will be implementing and enforcing the law, including Penal Code sections 30370(a)-(d), 30352, 30312(a)-(b), 30314(a), 30365, 30312(d), 30314(c).”
